This report outlines the Michigan Heat Pump Collaborative's (MIHPC) efforts to assess the current market for heat pumps in Michigan, engaging with key stakeholders to identify perspectives on adoption barriers and to analyze fuel usage, sales, and existing programs. Focusing on both single-family and multifamily residential opportunities across all income levels, the findings aim to inform utility Energy Waste Reduction programs and contribute to the development of an educational hub and contractor designation, ultimately fostering market growth for heat pumps in the state.
