This report details a field monitoring study aimed at characterizing the energy consumption, operational costs, and environmental impacts of various system configurations, specifically focusing on dual fuel air-source heat pumps in cold climates. The study examined both variable-speed and fixed-speed compressor systems to address the gap in existing research regarding market-driven installations and their performance in real-world conditions.
